Praying for one another    Keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints (Ephesians 6:18)

Pray for Liz Albright, who will be undergoing surgery on her eye on Wednesday, Sept 19.  Following her surgery, she will have limited mobility for one week.

Jim and Susan, neighbors of John and Linda Swisher, have been diagnosed with suspected cancer. Jim with testicular and Susan with a brain tumor.  Pray for the Swishers as they minister to their friends during this difficult time

Pray for John Swisher who is recovering from vertigo and is in physical therapy.

Pray for Gary Summers, recovering from heart bypass surgery

Pray that those who are sick or facing surgery would find physical healing.

Pray that marriages would be strengthened.

Pray that children would grow in the knowledge of the Lord.

Pray that we would all be faithful in our callings at work and school.

Pray that the unity of the Spirit would be evident among us.

Praying for the ministry of the gospel    ...that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19)

Jeff Lee and the ministry of RUF at the FAU campus.  Pray for the students entering college for the first time - that their hearts would be open to connect with true gospel community.

Ronnie Perry, planting New Song church in West Palm Beach.  Pray for God to strengthen their ministry as they connect to unchurched people in their community.

Mike and Suzanne Veitz, planting New River Fellowship in Ft Lauderdale.  Praise for a good meeting location and for several new professions of faith.  Pray for continued impact on their community, pray for a permit to meet at their downtown location, and pray for the new discipleship groups to be making an impact on the lives of those who attend.

Praying for the lost    And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”  And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am (Acts 26:28-29)

As you pray for friends, neighbors, and loved ones who have not yet put their faith in Christ, pray with John 8:34-36 in mind.  Jesus warns that when we continue to sin, we are enslaved to sin.  We are not free to live the life God intended for us.  But those who believe in Jesus are freed from that slavery.  Pray that people would turn to Christ and be free from sin.
