Praying for the lost    And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”  And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am (Acts 26:28-29)

As you pray for friends, neighbors, and loved ones who have not yet put their faith in Christ, pray with Hebrews 2:14-15 in mind.  In these verses, we see that, apart from being in Christ, we are enslaved by the fear of death. The fear of death affects us in different ways, leading us to seek maximum pleasure while alive, to pursue a moral lifestyle, to find a way to have a lasting reputation, etc. But none of these things conquers the fear of death. Pray that our unbelieving loved ones would see in Jesus the victor over the grave and that they would place their hope in the one who has made a path through death.
